Lip Surgery

As we age, our lips start to get thinner and lose their definition. You may have noticed fine lines forming around your lips and at the corners. Lip enhancement allows you to get more definition in your lips and give your mouth an alluring and youthful look. t;/p>

Lip enhancement is often requested once the V-shaped area of the upper lip, known as Cupid's Bow, starts to flatten and lose its fullness. Lipstick tends to bleed down vertical wrinkles, greatly reducing the impact of your lips, and having lip enhancement can stop that.

What is lip enhancement good for?

For ladies who have lost volume in their lips through ageing or for those ladies who wish to create fuller more defined lips who have been born with thin lips.

How is lip enhancement  done?

You will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the lip area, which is extremely sensitive. Once this has taken effect Dr Deepak Kalia will inject the lip area to be treated with the most suitable product to give the best result.

How long will lip enhancement  take?

Usually about 30 minutes

What kind of results

Once the swelling has gone down you will see the effects immediately. Fuller luscious lips which will last up to 6 months.

How soon can I go home?

What is the process if I go ahead?

Simply call one of our friendly advisors who will arrange an appointment for you.

Can I combine with other treatments?

Many of our clients choose to combine with other rejuvenating treatments especially tooth whitening. What better way to enhance the effects of a great pout, by showing off pearly white teeth?

Are there any side effects of lip enhancement ?

There should not be any side effects however, as with any procedure where the skin is injected swelling and bruising can occur. Any swelling should subside overnight.

Lip Reduction

Lip reduction surgery surgery is for women and men whose lips are of a size that causes them to feel self-conscious about their appearance. Lips that droop or turn outwards can also lead to a lack of confidence and cause anxiety.

Lip reduction surgery will provide a permanent, natural looking result and last the rest of your life.

Lip reduction surgery can be performed under local and/or general anaesthetic. The procedure takes about one hour and takes about two weeks to heal.

Procedure

Lip reduction is performed by making an incision in the length of your lip inside your mouth and then removing a strip of skin from one or both lips, depending upon the look you want to achieve. Dr Deepak Kalia will aim to enhance the mouth and lips area to complement your facial features, giving you a softened, natural mouth.

Risk

Fortunately, significant complications from lip reduction surgery are infrequent. Every year, many people undergo successful lip reduction surgery, experience no problems and are delighted with the results. Anyone considering surgery, however, should be aware of both the benefits and the risks. Dr Deepak Kalia will discuss these with you during your consultation.

After Care

Take it easy and sleep on two pillows to keep your head elevated for around 7-14 days – or however long your surgeon suggests. Remember that swelling and bruising is perfectly normal after surgery, but this will clear up after a few weeks. You should expect to see the final results from the lip reduction surgery in about three months. Because of the swelling your lips may look larger after the procedure than before, but they will settle in time.

Activities

Give yourself a week after the completion of your lip reduction surgery before returning to your normal routine. It's also advisable to refrain from participating in contact sports for at least six to eight weeks.
